Valencia

As Spain’s third-largest city, after Madrid and Barcelona – Valencia grabs different headlines and is more low-key in comparison, yet has grown and is now thriving in culture, food and nightlife. From brilliant contemporary buildings, great museums, a characterful old quarter and great beaches, one of which is only 10-15 minutes drive from the city centre there is plenty for everyone. There are more beaches outside the city radius.

The port city of Valencia is where the Turia River meets the Mediterranean Sea and is famous for being the home of rice dishes, such as Paella, and offers a superb and lively dining scene. This destination allows you to create a multi-centre holiday, with Barcelona, the Balearic Islands (Majorca, Ibiza, Menorca), Alicante & the Costa Blanca, plus Madrid all circling Valencia in a 360 degree formation.

As with the other weekend trips, there will be one formal performance organised at some point during the weekend, and quite possible some ad-hoc performing too.
